The accidental death or serious injury of a vacationer in Lee County is
tragic and leaves the family with decisions to make in a location far from
home. Because we want to assure travelers that the Beaches of Fort
Myers & Sanibel is a
caring community that appreciates its visitors, the VCB offers special
assistance with such emergencies. The Visitor Assistance Program serves as a
liaison with the accommodations industry in providing emergency assistance
to domestic or international visitors and their families. If an unfortunate
circumstance occurs, such as a guest’s accidental injury or death while
vacationing on a short-term basis in Lee County, the Visitor Assistance
Program is activated to help.
